Designed by Gastone Rinaldi in 1970, the Orsola armchair represents a masterly synthesis of volume and comfort, recently brought back to life thanks to Tacchini's 2021 re-edition.

Formal and Design Profile

The design is rooted in the concepts of comfort and visual softness. The seat is characterized by curved geometries and generous volumes, which convey an immediate sense of hospitality. The distinctive element is the visible metal structure, made of iron tubing with a chrome finish, which embraces and supports the padding, defining the object's sculptural profile.

Accolades and Historical Significance

The validity and relevance of Rinaldi's project were confirmed with the award of the Archiproducts Design Awards in 2021, an accolade that celebrates design excellence right on the occasion of the model's return to production. Orsola testifies to the Paduan designer's ability to anticipate a living aesthetic based on the fluidity of shapes and sensory well-being, successfully creating a dialogue between the rigor of the metal frame and the softness of "upholstered furniture."
